Oscar HCV test is intended used for qualitative detection of antibodies to HCV (Hepatitis C virus) in human serum / plasma as in aid of HCV diagnosis. It is based upon lateral flow immuno assay. Recombinant proteins of HCV (Core, NS3, NS4 and NS5) have been used for the coating on nitro cellulose membrane and colloidal gold conjugate to have better sensitivity and specificity. Each kit is available in pack of 50 tests. Sealed pouches containing test cards & samples droppers, dropper bottles containing assay buffer / running buffer and instructions for use is provided in each kit. It has shelf life of 24 months from date of manufacturing if stored at 2-30â° C under sealed conditions.
